Eugene Ramon "Rabbit" Berry, a 26-year-old man, was reported missing from Wilmington, North Carolina, on August 22, 1991. He was last seen by his sister at their home, where he expressed having trouble breathing and stated he was going to a nearby store to purchase medication for his asthma. Eugene did not return home and subsequently missed work, which was unusual for him.
