Lorie Lynn Walters-Pope, 44 years old at the time, was last seen on November 19, 1996, near Alton, California. She was spotted by a California Highway Patrol officer on State Route 36, a remote area in Humboldt County. After that sighting, she disappeared, and no further contact has been made.
