Mohammad Shirazi, a 48-year-old resident of West Hills, California, was reported missing on May 1, 2008. Shirazi's disappearance became the focus of a deeper investigation after his father returned from a trip to Iran and could not locate Mohammad. The house, which had been left under the care of Mohammad and his brother Hossein Shirazi, showed signs of foul play, with biological evidence (blood) discovered in the living room rug and furniture.
