Elvia Cruz Pérez, a 36-year-old woman, went missing on June 23, 2011, after last being seen in McAllen, Texas. Originally from Mexico, Elvia was attempting to reach Houston as her final destination when she vanished. She had crossed into Texas through Reynosa, Tamaulipas, with the assistance of a guide. According to available information, Elvia last communicated with her family after she arrived in Texas, but she was then detained by the guide, and no further contact has been made.
