Brian George Brunell, age 49, was last seen on October 31, 2011, at his sister’s house in Pleasant Hill, California. At the time of his disappearance, Brunell had been dealing with financial issues and depression due to being out of work for several months. On November 16, 2011, park rangers at Whiskeytown National Recreation Area discovered his car abandoned at the Boulder Creek Falls Trailhead, located near the Carr Powerhouse in Shasta County, California.
