In the late summer of 2020, the life of a young Hammond, Louisiana man, Jonathan Tucker, took a distressing and mysterious turn. On September 7th, the then 22-year-old was at his home in the 600 block of Susan Drive. That evening, he left his residence around 6:30 p.m. with a friend to celebrate the Labor Day holiday. Reports indicate they left in an older model white Lexus that had rims. Jonathan, who had recently been laid off from his job at Taco Bell, had spoken to his mother earlier that day, showing her his bank account balance and promising to help pay for a new roof for her home. This act of generosity and thoughtfulness would be one of the last memories his family had of him before he seemingly vanished. Concern for Jonathan's welfare grew quickly when his family could no longer reach him by phone, as his device appeared to be turned off. Their apprehension deepened when he failed to attend his uncle's funeral, an event his loved ones were certain he would not have missed. This uncharacteristic absence prompted his family to officially report him as a missing person on September 9, 2020. Jonathan is described as a Black male with black hair and brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he had a short fade haircut and has tattoos on both of his arms. He stands between 5'5" and 5'8" tall and weighs approximately 120 to 130 pounds. The investigation into Jonathan's disappearance has been ongoing, and authorities have stated that they suspect foul play is involved. In a significant development nearly nine months after he was last seen, in June 2021, the Hammond Police Department identified a woman named Christie "BeBe" McKnight as a person of interest in the case. A warrant was issued for her arrest on charges of obstruction of justice. The case of Jonathan Tucker remains an active and open investigation, a painful and unresolved chapter for his family and the community. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance on that holiday evening, his last known actions with a friend, and the subsequent naming of a person of interest all contribute to a troubling and complex situation that has left his loved ones searching for answers.
