On the night of Friday, March 12, 2021, 24-year-old Cassie Renee Sheetz was with two male companions at the top of Spruce Knob in the Monongahela National Forest in Pendleton County, West Virginia. The group began to descend the Huckleberry Trail at approximately midnight. It was during this time that Cassie became separated from her companions. She has not been seen or heard from since that night.
