On the night of Friday, March 12, 2021, 24-year-old Cassie Renee Sheetz was with two male companions at the top of Spruce Knob in the Monongahela National Forest in Pendleton County, West Virginia. The group began to descend the Huckleberry Trail at approximately midnight. It was during this time that Cassie became separated from her companions. She has not been seen or heard from since that night.
In the morning hours of Saturday, March 13, the two men who had been with Cassie emerged from the woods at separate times. The authorities were subsequently alerted, and a search for Cassie was initiated. At the time she went missing, it is believed she was wearing camouflage pants and a hoodie. Her case was managed by the West Virginia State Police.
Cassie is described as a white female with blonde hair and blue eyes.
She stood at 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighed around 120 pounds. She has several distinct piercings on her lip, ears, and belly button. Additionally, she has tattoos of the names "Rubie" and "Bella" located on her upper chest area.
