Maximus Morness Kawabata, a 5-year-old boy, was last seen on July 25, 2013, during a Skype call with his father, Kris Morness, who lived in Vancouver, British Columbia. The next day, Maximus and his mother, Chie Kawabata, boarded a flight from Seattle to Japan without informing Morness, violating a court-ordered custody agreement.
