Michael Lucas Gonzales, a 27-year-old man from Granite Bay, California, was last seen on May 1, 2021. That evening, he was at home with his father, who last spoke to him around 10:00 p.m. The next morning, Michael's girlfriend received a message from him at 5:45 a.m., stating that he was heading to the gym. However, he never arrived, and all contact ceased after that. His phone was turned off, which was highly unusual for him. Michael's faded teal 2000 Toyota Camry, with California license plate 6THH725, was spotted in South Sacramento on May 5, but the car has not been found since.
Before his disappearance, Michael lived with his father and had completed a trade school program, looking forward to starting a new career. His family and friends described him as responsible, with no history of leaving unexpectedly or being out of contact for extended periods. Michael had a distinct "California" or "Sacramento" tattoo on his shoulder and required daily medication for a health condition, raising further concern about his well-being. Despite extensive searches and community involvement, Michael remains missing under unclear circumstances.
The Placer County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate his case and urges anyone with information to come forward. His disappearance is still classified as endangered missing.
