Joseph McLaughlin, a 24-year-old from Deptford Township, New Jersey, went missing on November 13, 2021, after a tragic boating accident on the Delaware River near West Deptford. He was aboard a 19-foot vessel with two others when the boat capsized. One of the men was rescued by bystanders, but McLaughlin and his friend, Brian Palangi, were swept away by the river's currents. Despite extensive search efforts, both men were presumed drowned.
