In the summer of 2014, 26-year-old Nicholas Johnson was attending a day treatment program at the Gateway Treatment Center on Center Street in Ocean Township, New Jersey. This program was designed for adults dealing with mental illness and substance abuse issues. On July 2, 2014, Nicholas left the treatment center without notifying the staff and was never heard from again.
