Frank Lee Morris, age 35, was last seen on June 11, 1962, as part of a notorious escape attempt from Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary in San Francisco, California. Along with fellow inmates John and Clarence Anglin, Morris orchestrated a highly detailed plan to escape the maximum-security prison, which had been deemed inescapable. The trio used hand-crafted tools to widen the ventilation ducts in their cells and created lifelike dummy heads to deceive guards during bed checks.
