Andrew Fluegelman, a 41-year-old pioneer in the software industry, went missing on July 6, 1985, from Tiburon, California. He was a well-known figure, credited with founding PC World and Macworld magazines and developing the groundbreaking shareware program PC-Talk. Just before his disappearance, Fluegelman had been diagnosed with cancer and was dealing with the side effects of medication, which reportedly caused depression and erratic behavior.
