On the evening of October 2, 2000, 50-year-old Marilyn Zaitzeff, a lawyer from Shuniah, Ontario, ventured out onto the cool, dark waters of Lake Superior. She was last seen at approximately 9:00 p.m., leaving her family's cottage on Lambert Island aboard her personal watercraft.
