In the summer of 2025, a tragic incident on the Niagara River led to the disappearance of 66-year-old Jerome P. Williams of Buffalo, New York. On the evening of July 23rd, authorities were alerted to a boating accident near the North Grand Island Bridge. The vessel, a 35-foot 2015 Scout Boat presumed to be operated by Williams, had reportedly collided with a concrete abutment around 9:38 P.M. Williams and his companion, 46-year-old Natalie M. The search for Williams continued, with law enforcement agencies diligently combing the waters. Despite these extensive efforts, Jerome P. Williams has not been located. Jerome "Jerry" Williams was a well-known businessman in the Niagara Falls and Lewiston area, with friends describing him as an experienced boater. In the time since his disappearance, legal matters concerning his estate have been initiated, with court filings indicating that his whereabouts are the subject of an ongoing investigation. While his family held a memorial service for him in the weeks following the crash, he is officially considered a missing person, presumed to have died in the boating accident. The investigation into the circumstances of the boat crash remains active, leaving an unresolved conclusion to the sudden and tragic event that unfolded on the Niagara River.
