Thomas Kemna, a 44-year-old man from Grand Island, New York, was last seen on January 13, 2019. His vehicle was found abandoned at the top of the South Grand Island Bridge, leading authorities to suspect that Kemna may have jumped from the bridge in an apparent suicide attempt. Text messages sent to his wife on the day of his disappearance suggested that he was considering harming himself, and there were previous reports that he had threatened to jump off the bridge before.
