Bonnie Joan Thomas (born Cooper) of Rollingdam, outside of St. Stephen, New Brunswick, met some friends and went across the U.S.A. border to the Legion in Calais, Maine. They went to a St. Patrick's Day dance and after the evening's celebrations, Bonnie left the Legion alone in her 1973 red Volvo station wagon.
