Rodney Eugene Whittenburg, age 37, was last seen in Shelby, North Carolina, in late April 2003. He picked up half of his paycheck from his workplace, Fox Mountain Weaving, but never returned for the other half. His mother reported him missing on May 12, after not hearing from him for about three weeks. There have been rumors that Whittenburg was murdered and buried, though these claims remain unconfirmed.
