In the small, close-knit community of La Minerve, Quebec, the morning of March 24, 2000, began like any other for 38-year-old Rene Rosa. Later that same day, the case took a disturbing turn. Around 2:40 p.m., a road maintenance worker discovered Rene's vehicle, a purple 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier, abandoned on Montée Charette. The car was located nearly five kilometers from his residence. The vehicle was damaged, and there were signs that someone had attempted to steal it, adding a layer of confusion to the unfolding situation. From that point on, there has been no trace of Rene Rosa.
