In the small, close-knit Atikamekw community of Manawan, Quebec, the autumn of 2010 was marked by the unsettling disappearance of a young man named Pinaskin Ottawa. At the age of 26, Pinaskin was last seen on the morning of October 11, 2010, at the local community grocery store. He was reportedly in a white truck with an acquaintance, went into the store, and was never definitively seen again.
