Police received information that Toivo Reinikainen had not returned to work at the Great West Timber Camp on the Deadhorse Road in Walsh Twp (northern Ontario). He had been observed on site on September 26, 1984 at 4:00 a.m. by his co-workers. The camp location is a relatively remote area, access is by Deadhorse Road which is open to the public.
