On the morning of May 25, 1987, 61-year-old Rene Parr left the Trois-Rivières, Quebec, home where he had been living with his sister for approximately six months. Parr, a white male born in 1925, was last known to be at the residence at about 9:00 a.m. before he departed. At the time, he was going through a divorce and was expected to attend a courthouse hearing the following day.
