Lawrence Alton OLIVER Missing Person Case

On June 11, 1969, at approximately 5:50 p.m., the Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP received a report of an empty boat drifting in Lake Melville, in the vicinity of North West Point, in North West River, Newfoundland & Labrador. Police attended the scene and learned that this empty boat belonged to Lawrence Alton Oliver, who had departed his residence earlier that morning to go seal hunting. It is believed that Lawrence fell overboard while hunting and drowned, his body has never been located.
