On February 13, 2019, Thomas, ‘Tommy’, Jones was seen for the last time travelling in a car with a male acquaintance around the community of Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland. When Thomas did not return home later that evening, he was reported missing. According to the acquaintance, the car had run out of gas while traveling on a forest road behind the local mill.
