Andria Lucille Meise, a 32-year-old mother of three, vanished from Grande Prairie, Alberta, under circumstances that remain unclear. She was last seen sometime between the months of July and September of 2010. Originally from British Columbia, Andria was known to travel between various locations, including Grande Prairie, Dawson Creek, Fort St. John, Kelowna, and Vancouver. Her family described her as a resilient and adventurous free spirit. Despite facing personal challenges, she was known to maintain contact with her loved ones, making her eventual silence a cause for deep concern. The last known sighting of Andria was by her uncle, who saw her at a Tim Hortons in Grande Prairie. Born in Dawson Creek and raised primarily in Kelowna, Andria's life was marked by hardship from a young age. She experienced a difficult childhood, which included being placed in foster care. As she grew older, she struggled with substance abuse and lived a high-risk, transient lifestyle. At times, she worked as a server or housecleaner, but her addiction sometimes led her into sex work to survive. Despite these struggles, those who knew her remembered her as a hard worker who loved her family. She moved from Kelowna in 2006, relocating to Fort St. John, and was known to hitchhike between the various cities she frequented in British Columbia and Alberta. The official investigation into Andria's disappearance began in November 2012, when the Grande Prairie RCMP opened a missing persons file. However, this was years after her family first grew concerned. Her sister reported trying to file a missing person report as early as 2006 and made multiple attempts before the file was officially opened, feeling her sister's lifestyle prevented law enforcement from taking her concerns seriously at first. The case is complicated by the wide timeframe of her last known whereabouts and her transient nature. Andria is an Indigenous woman, described as having brown hair and brown eyes, and a notable scar on her abdomen from a childhood surgery. The overview of this case is one of a loving mother who faced significant personal battles but who remained connected to her family; her disappearance, and the subsequent delay in official investigation, has left her family searching for answers for many years.
