On April 12, 2017, 47-year-old Helene Martineau was last seen in the Jonquière borough of Saguenay, Quebec. That morning, Ms. Martineau, an occupational therapist, visited the Jonquière hospital where she worked to drop off a doctor's note to extend her medical leave. Later, around 11:30 a.m., she was captured on surveillance footage at a local shopping center, Place du Royaume.
