On September 11, 1976, Anthony Malinak and friends arrived at Long Lake and fished during the day. That evening Anthony had taken a boat from Mountain Lodge on Long Lake. The boat was found at the east end of the lake in a foot of water. His rain jacket and hat were found in the boat. He is presumed drowned.
