In the autumn of 1993, a young man named Marcus Adrian Laing, who was 23 years old at the time, vanished from his home in Vancouver, British Columbia. On October 14, he was expected for his shift at Capers restaurant in North Vancouver, but he never arrived. This uncharacteristic absence was the first sign that something was amiss.
