On February 27, 2008, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Kien Hua was seen for the last time by his friend in Toronto, Ontario. Kien had told his friend that he was going to borrow his parents' car and was leaving town for a couple of days. On March 4, 2008, his parents' vehicle was found abandoned in Montreal, Quebec.
