In the late summer of 2026, concern grew for 86-year-old Marshall Murray, a resident of Lakeland, Florida. On August 22nd, Mr. Murray was last seen on foot, wearing an orange shirt, green sweatpants, and black shoes. A report was filed with the Polk County Sheriff's Office two days later, on August 24, 2026, officially beginning the search for the missing man. The Sheriff's Office, located in Winter Haven, assigned Detective Amanda Whipple to the case.
