In the late winter of 2026, concern grew for a 15-year-old girl from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, named Aiyana Mathis. On February 25, 2026, the teenage girl vanished, leaving her loved ones in a state of distress. Aiyana, a Black/African American female with black, braided hair and brown eyes, was a young woman with a noticeable scar on the left side of her face.
