On June 14, 2021, 28-year-old Alex Harris left his father's home in Sierra Vista, Arizona, with a friend to go to a remote part of the Arizona desert near the city of Safford. The story was that he was out geo-caching with a friend, but something went terribly wrong, and Alex refused to get in the car and return home.
