In the autumn of 2021, a 30-year-old man named Galen Perkins vanished from Charlotte, North Carolina. He was last seen on November 1, 2021, and at the time of his disappearance, he was described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds, with brown hair and black eyes. The circumstances surrounding his last known whereabouts have not been widely disclosed to the public, which created challenges for those searching for him. It is known, however, that his mother officially reported him missing a year after her last contact with him, which was in Kentucky.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department opened an investigation into Galen's disappearance after the official report was made. Friends and family mentioned that he had been dealing with personal challenges leading up to the time he went missing. In an effort to find him, his loved ones and the wider Charlotte community took action. Vigils were organized, and flyers with his picture and information were circulated throughout the city in the hope of generating any information that might lead to his location.

Despite the efforts of law enforcement and the community, the case remained open for a period of time. However, the search for Galen Perkins ultimately concluded with the news that he had been found alive. While the specifics regarding the date and circumstances of his recovery are not publicly available, the resolution of his case brought an end to the uncertainty for his family and friends.
