Jesus Cortes, a 10-year-old boy from Oxnard, California, was last seen on January 19, 2019. At the time of his disappearance, he was described as weighing approximately 60 pounds and was notably missing his top four front teeth. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children has assigned case number 1348264 to his disappearance.
According to the State of California Department of Justice and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, Jesus is believed to be in
the company of his younger brother, Joshua Cortes-Gordillo, who also went missing on the same day. Authorities have stated that the children are likely being concealed by their mother, Karina Gordillo-Manuel. The circumstances surrounding their disappearance have led to a continued search and public appeals for information.
The Oxnard Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency investigating the case. Photos of Jesus, including an age-progressed image to show what he might look like now, have been circulated by NCMEC in an effort to generate leads. Law enforcement and child advocacy organizations continue to request the public's assistance in locating Jesus and his brother. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Oxnard Police Department at 385-7600 or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.Last Seen: Jan 19, 2019
