In the autumn of 2025, a teenage girl from Lima, Ohio, named Selina Burk was reported missing. She was last seen on October 20th of that year. At the time she went missing, Selina was described as being 5-foot-1 and weighing 122 pounds. The last clothing she was seen wearing consisted of a black sweatshirt and black sweatpants. Concerned for her welfare, the Ohio Attorney General's office issued an alert to the public regarding her disappearance. The Lima Police Department began investigating Selina's case, and they have indicated that they do not believe foul play was involved in her disappearance, nor do they think she is in any immediate danger. Law enforcement has characterized both Selina and her younger brother, Austin, as "chronic runaways." This has been a recurring issue, and sadly, her brother Austin was also reported missing in March of the following year. The police department makes a distinction between cases of runaway children and those who they believe have been abducted. The case of Selina Burk is a difficult one, as it involves a young person who has repeatedly left her home. The Lima Police Department has continued to look into her whereabouts since she was reported missing. While authorities do not suspect an abduction, there is still a great deal of concern for her safety and well-being. Law enforcement has asked that anyone who may have information about Selina's location or her disappearance to come forward and contact the Lima Police Department. The hope remains that she will be found safe and returned to her family.
