In the late morning of June 26, 2006, 48-year-old Katherine Desiree Rose, also known as Kathy, attended a doctor's appointment in Puyallup, Washington. This would be the last confirmed sighting of her. At the time of her disappearance, Katherine was a long-term resident of a mental health facility and relied on medication to manage her health, none of which she took with her.
