Patricia Casares Treloar, a 44-year-old mother of two, was last seen on January 21, 2009, in Eagle Pass, Texas. She left her job as a manager at the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center at approximately 5:00 p.m. and has not been heard from since. Her coworkers reported her missing two days later. At the time of her disappearance, Treloar was wearing a black blouse, a short dark gray jacket with large black buttons, a black pinstriped skirt, black stockings, and black high-heeled shoes.
She was also adorned with a long chain necklace with glass beads and matching earrings.
Treloar's vehicle, a green 2001 Dodge Durango with Texas license plate number M85TTR, also vanished at the time of her disappearance. The truck, which had tinted windows, a scratch on the back driver's side, and a cracked front windshield, was later found abandoned. Inside the vehicle were her personal belongings, including her cell phone, purse, and jacket. The discovery of these items led police to suspect foul play, as it is unusual for someone to voluntarily disappear without such essential possessions.
At the time she went missing, Patricia was in the midst of a contentious divorce from her husband of twenty years, Rodney Treloar, and had obtained a restraining order against him. Authorities have identified Rodney Treloar as a person of interest in his wife's disappearance, though he has not been formally charged in connection with the case. Following her disappearance, he was arrested and charged with contempt of court for allegedly failing to pay over $13,000 in child support, attorney's fees, and other living expenses related to the divorce proceedings.
