Adrian Lozoya, a 25-year-old resident of Port Neches, Texas, was last seen on May 4, 2008. His evening began at the Taqueria Arandas Restaurant, where he watched a boxing match before heading to a local club for drinks. He departed the club around 2:00 a.m., believed to be intoxicated, and proceeded to an International House of Pancakes in the 8600 block of Memorial Blvd in Port Arthur, Texas, to meet with friends. Lozoya was last seen at the IHOP at approximately 3:00 a.m.
He was scheduled to work the following day but never arrived, and he was not seen or heard from again. At the time of his disappearance, he was driving a distinctive two-door 1992 Acura Integra coupe, which was red with one door of a darker color, bearing Texas license plate number Y83 WHV.
For over 14 years, Lozoya's whereabouts remained a mystery. A significant break in the case came in August 2022, when divers searching for another missing person discovered his Acura Integra submerged in a canal along Texas Highway 73 at Memorial Boulevard. The location of the discovery was approximately three miles north of the IHOP where he was last seen. Inside the vehicle, investigators found what they believed to be human remains.
The remains were sent to the Center for Human Identification at the University of North Texas for analysis. In December 2022, it was confirmed through forensic testing that the remains were those of Adrian Lozoya. An autopsy was performed, and the results, combined with evidence from the night he went missing, showed no signs of foul play in his death. Following the identification of his remains, the Port Neches Police Department, which was investigating the case, informed Lozoya's family and announced that the case was closed.
