On October 25, 2019, 33-year-old Bryan Matthew McGehrin was at his mother's home in Taneytown, Maryland. When he left the residence, located in the 200 block of Colbert Street, he did not indicate where he was going. This departure marked the last time his family would see or hear from him. Just two days before he vanished, McGehrin had been released from jail in Hagerstown. He was known to suffer from depression but was not taking his medication at the time of his disappearance.
His family grew increasingly concerned when he failed to make his customary contact; although he didn't own a cell phone, he would historically keep in touch by using phones belonging to his friends.
Concern mounted when McGehrin missed a scheduled probation meeting. He was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a blue and gray hooded jacket, white tennis shoes, and a baseball cap. Standing at 5'8" and weighing around 190 pounds, he has brown hair and blue eyes. His appearance is also distinguished by numerous tattoos, including a demon with the word "Trapt" on one shoulder and a design of four queen cards with the words "My Queens" and roses on the other. Further tattoos include flames on his upper arm, a cross on one forearm, and a snake on his lower leg.
The Westminster Police Department is handling the investigation into his disappearance. Despite the passage of time, his case remains an active and unsolved missing persons investigation.
