Braonain Dakota McGinnis, 24, was last seen on December 21, 2023, in Glen Burnie, Maryland. He left home around 3 p.m., but never showed up for his night shift that evening, prompting concerns from his family and friends. Shortly after, his phone stopped pinging near the back entrance of the Marley Station Mall. On January 3, 2024, authorities found Braonain's abandoned Hyundai Accent near milepost 570 on Highway 89A in northern Arizona, about 2,000 miles from his home.
The car, which had no license plates, had approximately 15 miles of gas left, and it is suspected it had been abandoned since December 30.
Prior to his disappearance, Braonain had withdrawn $200 from an ATM, but there has been no further activity on his bank accounts or credit cards. His phone has not been used since the day he went missing. At the time of his disappearance, Braonain was described as 5'11", 180 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans, and black Vans shoes.
Authorities continue to search for Braonain, but the circumstances of his disappearance remain unclear.
