Graciela "Grace" Esquivel, a 25-year-old single mother, vanished from Mason City, Iowa, on June 10, 1983. At the time of her disappearance, she lived in the 1600 block of North Pennsylvania Avenue with her six-year-old daughter. On the evening of June 10th, Esquivel's daughter spent the night with her grandparents, as Esquivel had told them she was going out with friends. This was the last time she was ever heard from.
The following day, when her parents brought her daughter back to the house, Graciela was nowhere to be found. Inside the home, they discovered a strange scene. Esquivel's bed was turned down as if she had been about to get into it. Crucially, her wallet and driver's license were left behind. Since her disappearance, there has been no activity on her Social Security number.
The circumstances surrounding Graciela Esquivel's disappearance remain unclear. She is described as a Hispanic female with brown hair and brown eyes, standing at 4'11" and weighing approximately 140 pounds. Her case is classified as endangered missing.
