Lakerian Demell Thomas-Peters, 22, was last seen in Pensacola, Florida on May 30, 2016. He was reportedly walking along the railroad tracks situated between the Lincoln Park and Wedgewood neighborhoods. His mother, Catrina Sword, later stated that he was seen leaving their home on Kyle Drive in Pensacola before he disappeared. Thomas-Peters, an aspiring rapper who also went by the nickname "Smurf," had recently lost his job at a distribution company and was said to be depressed about
it.
Since he was last seen, there has been no contact from Thomas-Peters. His cell phone has been turned off and his bank account has remained untouched. Prior to his disappearance, he had asked to borrow his mother's car, but she had declined his request. He left his own car behind. His family has been actively searching for answers, with his mother expressing the difficulty of not knowing what happened.
Thomas-Peters is described as a Black male, standing between 5'6" and 5'8" and weighing between 120 and 130 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He has several tattoos, including the phrase "Vanity First" on his upper chest.
