Rigot Pierre, a 47-year-old man, was last seen in Orlando, Florida on July 26, 2024, and has not been heard from since. Few details were initially available in his case, but more information has since emerged regarding the circumstances leading to his disappearance. Pierre is described as a Black male with black hair and green eyes, standing at 5'7" and weighing 187 pounds.
On the day he went missing, a family member saw Pierre at the Consulate General of Haiti in Orlando where he was attempting to renew his Haitian passport. The family member noted that Pierre was acting abnormally and tried to leave in a Mears taxicab. Family members advised the taxi driver to take him to a hospital, and the driver reportedly agreed.
According to reports, Pierre paid the taxi driver $400 to be taken to Fort Lauderdale. The driver allegedly took him to a hospital, but Pierre refused to get out of the vehicle. Instead, the driver took him to Orlando International Airport and dropped him off at an unknown location at approximately 11:40 a.m. It is unclear whether it was Pierre or the driver who suggested going to the airport.
Leading up to his disappearance, Pierre's family had not physically seen him since July 24, 2024. On July 22, he had abruptly quit his two jobs and had made statements about wanting to go to Haiti. On July 31, his family received a letter from the airport's lost and found, informing them that two pieces of his luggage had been found on the property on July 27.
