At the time of her disappearance, Bolden was described as being 5'7" to 5'9" tall and weighing approximately 100 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She has a distinctive scar on her neck. Some accounts state she was last seen by her mother in late March 2004.

Just two months before she went missing, Bolden had been released from custody after serving a one-year sentence for cocaine possession.
