Teresa Yolanda Young, a 48-year-old woman from Washington D.C., vanished on July 3, 2015. She was last seen at approximately 3:00 p.m. in the 1500 block of North Capitol Street in the northwest quadrant of the city. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a black short-sleeved shirt, leggings with a black leopard or lip print, and white Puma sneakers. Young is described as a Black female, 5'3" tall and weighing 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo of the name "Antonio" on her left shoulder.
A significant and unusual aspect of Young's case is the substantial delay in her being reported as a missing person. She was not officially reported missing until March 7, 2018, more than two and a half years after she was last seen.
