The investigation into Eric's whereabouts began after his ex-wife, alarmed by the text message, contacted the police. Upon checking his apartment, they found it empty. It pinged a cell tower near 14955 East 1600th Street in Macomb, an area about five miles from the Walmart where he was last seen. He has several distinct tattoos, including a heart on his chest, an eagle on his throat, and a sleeve on his right arm featuring an eagle, a tiger, a woman, and lightning bolts. He also has a two-inch scar on his left hand. At the time he was last seen, he was wearing a black and gray North Face coat, a black Jeep hoodie, a black baseball cap, blue jeans, and black tennis shoes. The circumstances surrounding his case remain unresolved, and he has not had any contact with his family or law enforcement since the day he vanished. The case is classified as a missing person investigation as his family and friends continue to hope for his safe return.
