In the community of Macomb, Illinois, concerns grew for 38-year-old Eric Troy Fischer following his disappearance. The last known contact with Eric was on January 8, 2023. On that day, he sent his ex-wife a text message that was described as suicidal in nature. Just two hours before that message was received, surveillance footage from a local Walmart captured Eric making a few purchases.
