On August 3, 2016, 83-year-old Leonard Frederick was last seen at his residence on Company Street in Christiansted, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. His family reported him missing two days later, on August 5, 2016. Frederick, a Black male with a bald head and black eyes, is described as being 5'7" tall and weighing approximately 145 pounds. He wears glasses and is clean-shaven. The clothing he was wearing at the time of his disappearance is unknown.
Mr. Frederick has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, which may cause him to appear disoriented or confused. He was known to frequent the Christiansted Town area, particularly Company Street and Market Square. The U.S. Virgin Islands Police Department is the investigating agency for this case.
Despite the passage of time, the case of Leonard Frederick remains open. In September 2019, his case was highlighted by Crime Stoppers USVI as a cold case for which they were seeking public assistance. Authorities have asked that anyone with information regarding his whereabouts contact the Ancilmo Marshall, C Command Police Station at 773-2530, 778-2211, or 911.
