A trip to go camping in the picturesque landscape of Table Rock State Park in Pickens County, South Carolina, marked the beginning of a distressing mystery for the family of Stephanie Womacks. The 52-year-old from Temple, Georgia, was at a campsite in the White Oak camping area with a family member. On the evening of March 3, 2025, her husband left the campground around 5:00 p.m. to get some supplies.
Witnesses reported seeing Stephanie at the campsite by herself around 6:00 p.m., but when her husband returned, she was gone. Those same witnesses did not see her leave the site, and her sudden absence prompted a call to the Pickens County Sheriff's Office. Her walking stick and blanket were also noted to be missing from the campsite.
Stephanie Ann Womacks is a white female with brown and partially gray hair and green eyes, standing 5 feet tall and weighing approximately 115 pounds. At the time of her disappearance, she was believed to be wearing a brown hoodie with the word 'GAP' in pink lettering on the front, along with blue jeans and black tennis shoes.
