Theresa Hartley, age 66, went missing on March 11, 2023, after visiting the Ocala National Forest with a male friend. During the trip, their white Dodge pickup truck got stuck. Initially, both set off on foot to seek help, but Theresa's friend later advised her to return to the truck and wait. By the time he returned two days later, Theresa was gone, and she has not been heard from since.
Theresa had been dealing with memory issues prior to her disappearance. Despite extensive searches in the forest, which spans over 430,000 acres, no significant clues have been found. Authorities do not suspect foul play but continue to search for her, given the challenging terrain and vast area. Theresa's family and friends remain hopeful for answers and have maintained public appeals for any information regarding her whereabouts.
