Riley Hsieh, a 24-year-old man from Brooktrails, California, was last seen on March 27, 2023. Around 11:15 a.m., Hsieh left his home on Hawk Terrace carrying a bag, turned off his phone, and walked away. His family became concerned as this behavior was unusual, and they feared he may have been experiencing a mental health crisis, possibly triggered by a recent family loss.
Hsieh was last seen wearing a gray bathrobe, light blue plaid pajama pants, black sneakers, and carrying a light blue or green bag. He enjoyed spending time in nature, often meditating in remote areas, and may have been carrying a prayer bowl and a statue of Buddha.
Despite extensive search efforts by Mendocino County Search and Rescue teams, with assistance from other regional agencies, no significant leads have emerged. There were possible sightings near the Brooktrails airport, but none have been confirmed. Hsieh is considered at risk due to the circumstances of his disappearance, and his family remains hopeful for any new information.
The Mendocino County Sheriff's Office continues to ask for the public’s help, urging local residents to review security footage and report any potential sightings.Last Seen: Mar 27, 2023
